The website advertised it as dog friendly but it is not. Dogs must stay off the beach and out of the water, so not so dog friendly. Other than that it was a great time. We went swimming and and ate lunch.

Nice place for family picnic or barbecue. You can do fishing, swimming hiking and ride bike. Cost us $3 per person to get inside the park. Nice place to send a day with family and friends.

    Always pleasant.
I usually get the day pass which is about 3 dollars per person and just recharge listening to the waves.
Pretty clean for a public space.
Has campsites, splashpad, trails, spots for fishing but haven’t witnessed anyone catch any fish tbh.
    Definitely will be back.

Edit to add: We went back September of 2022 and the boardwalk is closed, compliments of Hurricane Ida. I asked and was told they do plan on rebuilding, as they have previously, but no idea when. The rest of the park all appeared to be open though.

Cute spot! Beach area and loved walking down Alligator Marsh Boardwalk, we saw a few gators!

We went to this beach on a beautiful summer afternoon (2021). To be fair, there is not a large beach where you can swim, but it’s beautiful enough for wedding photoshoot. When we got there, there are 2 couples were taking their weeding photoshoot.
My wife really enjoy walking along the beach. If you want to have a nice walk in a beautiful day, this place is a good idea. If you have a binoculars, you even can see the buildings in New Orleans (you can see it in my videos).

After almost 3 years, I went back to this improved park, I was impressed. Looks much prettier and clean. Great park to bring family out for picnic and fishing.

The 2 negatives I found were camping sites and restrooms.
There were 5 tents site that are no privacy at all. The day use people can literally walk across your site. That’s why nobody camp there, all five sites were available.
Issue number 2 is restrooms. I am not sure on the female side but on the men side there’s only one toilet. They need to improve this and add at least another toilet.
Overall if you here to a day use, it is an excellent park. Love it.

There have been major improvements to Cypremort Point over the last year or so, very impressive. Will take better documentation of these changes (they unfortunately got rid of a tree and a bench but did so do put in several benches and a concrete viewing station, as well as adding rocks and pebbles to combat land loss) when I got back again rather than mostly doing storm shoots.

They also planted some brand new Palm Trees, which are non-native and kind of tacky but it is new growth and does add more of a cheery and lively vibe to what has long been an otherwise somber beach (though I liked it personally). Definitely worth the 3 dollar admission and then some!

Absolutely beautiful! Easy drive. Clean & quiet. Friendly people. Must eat at Bayview. Next time we will rent a camp and stay for a while, but overall I had a blast!

We had an excellent time camping here. Kind of self serve. After a day we were the only ones on the beach. Sunrise and sunset were beautiful every day. Man made beach. You can park close to the campsite but not actually in the campsite. Quite a distance from town an the nearest gas station. Noone sells firewood or ice nearby so make sure you plan accordingly. Construction guys start at about 7 am every morning. Didn’t bother me but my gf was annoyed. Downtown had a couple of great hole in the wall restaurants. Victors cafeteria for breakfast and seafood connection for dinner were excellent. Sleeping next to the ocean is awesome. Go if you have the opportunity.

Nice place to hang out with friends and families on a picnic. It has a beautiful natural view with blue skies and green grass. Enough space for everyone. But it has a lot of mosquitoes to suck your blood and give you skin irritations, also water is not clean. Bathrooms need maintenance.

Pretty amazing and peaceful place to visit, you can drive or camp right in the beach! There were tons of shells to look through and choose from as well as all kinds of wildlife! Pelicans galore and seagulls to feed and watch also! Hidden gem not far off the beaten path!

This is a beach you can drive as well as camp… Nice!! Sometimes it is clean but there are times garbage and debris wash up here.
Nice place to watch the sunset with your better half:)

Lots of space between you and other campers, rvs, tents, sprinter vans, anything is allowed as long as you follow the rules. Clean beach with trash cans and bathrooms at entrance. I stayed here 3 days in a tent on the beach. Would love to come back

Ok i would love to give this place 5 stars but i gave it for because 1) it had a ton of trash that had recently blown ashore from the recent storm. Like a ton! And 2) the water had a bacterial warning to stay out.
Otherwise, the beach and sand itself was pretty nice and tons of seashells to look for! Also they have a dumpster and porta potties when you first drive in as well as a couple public outdoor showers too. Just dont drive to Cameron when your leaving in an RV or with a camp trailer. Youll have to use the Cameron fairy to get across the ship channel and they wont let you on. I learned that the hard way after sitting for 20 minutes with my truck and trailer. They refused me on and i had to turn around and go back the Lake Charles route. Just a bit of advice.

Came here to eat our take-out from Kenney’s Seafood just down the road. Is a small little public beach with two pavilions along side a residential area on Lake Pontchartrain. Several families were there enjoying the water and several boats were pulled up as well. We saw some kids enjoying fishing too. Beach seemed nice but the parking area and access to the beach was not kept up well. We ended up just sitting in our truck and eating. Locals would enjoy it more if it was kept up better.

We were New Orleans vacationers during the pandemic and wanted to find a close by beach to visit since pool was still closed. My only complaint would be the porta-poddy being so far away. The beach location was beautiful, surrounded by gorgeous homes, with 2 pavilions w/picnic tables (1 on each end) so I do understand not having it close, but for vacationers it woulda been nice to have just a smaller building with maybe an actual bathroom next to the beach for children/adults to use/change clothes. Water does get a tad choppy with the boats but it’s manageable.

Great place to relax, bring the kids. They can build Sandcastles and collect seashells. They have picnic tables under gazebos. You can watch some of the sailboats or go swimming. 👍👍

Quiet and peaceful in the mornings. Lots of fish and crabs! Really dirty beach though. Broken glass, dirty diapers, dead fish, beer bottles.

This used to be the Black beach in NOLA in the days of segregation, the coun terpart to the whites-only Ponchartrain Beach about 6 miles down the shore. There is no entrance, no facilities, and no signs. The basic shape of the place remains tho, one can find the ruins of the facilities and there is a bit of beach left. And there are still visitors- families and kids and kayakers and so on. To get there you have to park on the road, hop a fence and cross a railroad track. It is overgrown and there is lots of graffiti and a few campsites scattered in the overgrowth. The water is easily accessible once you get in the area, and I saw people wading and floating and even grilling by the shore on a breezy sunny day.

came here a few years back, the water was very murky and had A TON of jelly fish in it. I kept having to scoop them up out of the water cause there were kids playing next to us and i didn’t want them to get hurt. My brother and i both got stung trying to keep them away from the other kids

Lincoln Beach is not officially open to the public, but individuals still enjoy the clear water for swimming, fishing and most of all the quiet solitude atmosphere that’s back there.
Just remember it is off limits.
